NEW: This iPhone App Blocks Nudity Everywhere

Does Qustodio monitor all Snapchat activity on a child's iPhone?

Qustodio isn't able to monitor some Snapchat activity, like private messages (Snaps). Fortunately, some alternatives can monitor everything, including disappearing messages.

If you're a parent who wants to monitor how your child uses the Snapchat app on their iPhone, you might have considered a parental control app like Qustodio. While Qustodio has many advanced features for Android smartphones, if your child has an iPhone, you, as a parent, are limited to seeing how much time your child has used the Snapchat app. To view all Snapchat activity, like private Snaps and messages, there are some alternatives to Qustodio on iOS that use a different monitoring technique, which captures all activity your child sees on Snapchat. This includes private/disappearing messages that are difficult to monitor otherwise on an iPhone or iPad.

Because of privacy features on Apple iOS devices and the specific technique Qustodio uses to monitor activity, it isn't able to monitor Snapchat private messages.

The only foolproof way to monitor Snapchat on a kid's iPhone is to use a monitoring app that records the entire screen.

Fortunately, monitoring apps like LivingRoom , which use screenshot-based monitoring, can capture Snapchat activity.

Alternatives to Qustodio that can monitor all Snapchat activity

There are a few parental control apps, like the LivingRoom app for Families , that capture all activity on an iPhone by periodically capturing screenshots of your child's entire screen. A parent can review these screenshots to see activity.

With screenshot monitoring, you can see all activity on Snapchat, including Snaps, private messages, activity with Snapchat's AI, what your child sees on Snapchat's discovery page, and much more.

Additionally, parents can create their own Snapchat account to monitor some (although not all) activity on their child's Snapchat account through Snapchat Family Center. If you decide to use this method only, you (as a parent) can't see the content of messages being sent, but you can disable some features, such as Snapchat's AI companion.
